CRITERIA FOR CAMSTAR GOLD MEMBERSHIP

CRITERIA FOR CAMSTAR GOLD MEMBERSHIP

Gold membership is by application for schools which have reached a significant level of organisational maturity as a research-engaged organisation. This application is open to all schools; they need not previously have been a CamSTAR Silver Membership school, though it is advantageous if they have been part of that research culture. Such schools must have:

CAMSTAR GOLD ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP

ESSENTIAL

CRITERIA

IN PROGRESS or COMPLETE

Endorsement of Head

Nomination of CamSTAR Coordinator

Significant number of staff researching according to school size

Intent to grow culture of research year on year

Commitment to complete research projects

Commitment to yearly fee

Dissemination beyond the school

Be prepared to stage regional conferences in due course

Focus on CamSTAR CPD / teachers as learners

SLT taking part in research

Seek to become a CamSTAR national lead school

Willingness to take part in the CamSTAR school meta project in evaluation of data on impact

An application is then not automatically approved but is evaluated, through discussion with the school, according to school culture and intent regarding continuing development and leading as a fully ‘Research Engaged Learning Community’…

Note: If an existing CamSTAR Gold Membership school does not maintain a teacher research culture at an appropriate level, CamSTAR reserve the right to re-evaluate their membership level and request that they return to Silver Membership level or even cease to be a CamSTAR member, as appropriate. If a CamSTAR school decides to withdraw from CamSTAR during the academic year, the membership fee for that year is non-refundable.
